gWorks, a portfolio company of BV Investment Partners, acquired BBI, Inc, underscoring gWorks’ commitment to modernizing public sector operations. Partnering with the gWorks and BV teams, the Copper Run advisory team developed a strategy to source acquisitions to fulfill initiatives on gWorks roadmap. The highest priority demand from gWorks’ customers was utility billing. Copper Run performed a comprehensive search, seeking targets that are leaders in utility billing and accounting software for government entities. BBI’s solutions include accounting, billing, property taxes, court fines, permitting, and more, serving over 300 municipalities, water associations, and public utilities. The transaction brings together two companies focused on empowering local governments to operate more efficiently.
